Version v1.26.48.4 of Freely is now available and will be rolled out to your TV. Your TV should update automatically.
You can check if you are on the latest version of the software by visiting the 'Settings' menu on Freely and selecting 'Software Updates'. Follow the steps on screen to update. For more help on how to update your software visit our FAQ.

New films and shows pages
We’ve made it even easier to find something to watch on Freely by introducing two new pages: Films and Shows.
Whether you are planning a film night, looking for a new drama, or exploring comedy, factual or lifestyle shows, you’ll find plenty to discover in one place so you can spend less time searching and more time watching.
Films
Films in the main menu - Find Films faster from the dedicated Films page, available directly from the navigation menu at the top of the screen.
Curated movie collections - Explore film collections such as Top Movies, Action, Family, Comedy, Romance, True Stories & Biographies, Mystery, Crime & Thrillers, and Adventures.
Shows
Shows in the main menu - Browse TV shows in one place, also available from the navigation menu at the top of the screen, with a dedicated page for series and genre-based discovery.
Easy show browsing - Discover shows through familiar categories such as Drama, Factual, Comedy, Entertainment, Sport, Food, Lifestyle, History, Music & Arts, and Science & Nature.
How it works
- Select Films from the menu on the top of the screen to browse 100s films in one dedicated place.
- Select Shows from the menu on the top of the screen to browse TV shows and series by category.
- Use the rails on each page to move through different collections and genres.
- The Browse page is still available if you prefer a broader mix of content.
- The back button works in the familiar way, helping you return through the page and back to the top navigation.
- The pages are designed to make it quicker to find content based on your preferences.
- The movie and various genre rails have moved from Browse into the new dedicated Film and Shows pages to make discovery quicker.
- The pages include familiar row layouts, so browsing is consistent with the rest of Freely.
- Content collections will change over time as new programmes, films and seasonal selections are added.
