What is Coldwater about?
After failing to step in during a violent playground confrontation, John is left questioning who he really is. In search of a fresh start, he moves his wife Fiona and their two children as far away from London as possible, to the remote Scottish village of Coldwater.
At first, it feels like the perfect escape. John quickly strikes up a friendship with his neighbour Tommy, the charming husband of local vicar Rebecca and a respected figure in the community. To John, Tommy is confident, welcoming, even inspiring. But Fiona isn’t so sure. As she dreams of rebuilding her career and reigniting her marriage, she sees something far more dangerous in their new neighbour.

When unsettling events begin to unfold, suspicions rise, and John slowly realises that Tommy may not be the man he claims to be. And when John’s long-buried anger finally boils over, he finds himself indebted to the very person he should fear most.
Dark, gripping and full of twists, Coldwater is a thriller about ordinary people dragged into extraordinary danger — exploring what happens when trust turns toxic and offering an unflinching raw look at a long-term marriage.
