Post-emigration to Melbourne from the UK, the once lovestruck Helen, now no longer together with her former beau Bill, is running a booming hotel in the glorious Melbourne beach suburbs. Like all families, things can get a bit dysfunctional, but the O'Riley's take these quirks a step further.

It all comes to a boiling point when Helen falls ill. Thereby leaving her three adult children – Simon, Kate, and Ian – to pursue an opportunistic move to cash out on the matriarch's beloved seaside hotel.

Two woman sat on a bed in a dimly lit room hugging.

Enter a major plot twist: a secret daughter named Amanda who was given up for adoption before the other children were born – her presence swiftly threatening the lucrative hotel deal. Embraced with open arms by her mother Helen, the same welcome does not extend across the family. Amanda is an enigma, raising questions about her identity that soon turn deadly.

A twisty tale of trust, betrayal and ultimately murder, we know we will be glued to our screens!
