What is Outrageous about?

Outrageous is the jaw-dropping true story of six rebellious aristocratic sisters who refused to play by the rules– making global headlines in the process! Glamorous, scandalous and completely unforgettable, these women weren’t just ahead of their time… they were in a league of their own.

From glittering ballrooms to political backdrops, Outrageous dives into a dazzling world of family loyalty, bitter betrayals, fiery romances and shocking ideologies – all wrapped up in a whirlwind of drama, danger and defiance. Expect public scandals, secret affairs, and a sisterhood stretched to its absolute limit.

Why did these women defy the roles society tried to force on them? And what made them change from debutantes to disruptors? with a story so wild, it can't possibly be true - but we promise it is!

Who’s in the Outrageous cast?

The amazing Bessie Carter, best known for her roles in Bridgeton and Joan, will be staring at Nancy Mitford.

Alongside her, Joanna Vanderham (Control Room) will star as Diana Mitford.

Isobel Jesper Jones (The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) will star as Pamela Mitford. 

Zoe Brough (Casualty) will star as Jessica Mitford.

Shannon Watson (The Jetty) will take on the role of Unity Mitford.

And the final Mitford sister Deborah will be played by Orla Hill (A Confession).

Alongside the sisters expect to see Toby Regbro, Anna Chancellor and James Purefoy.

When and where can I watch Outrageous?

Outrageous premieres on U&Drama on 18th June at 9pm, but if waiting week by week isn’t your vibe, good news: every episode will be available to stream on demand on U from day one.
