A Freely TV
If you were looking for an excuse to treat yourself to a new TV, you’ve found one!
An internet connection
To enjoy live streaming, catch-up, and on demand content, we recommend an internet connection of at least 10Mbps.
A TV Licence
Anyone who watches broadcast TV in the UK must have an annual TV Licence, no matter which TV service they use. Some may qualify for a free licence or a concession, but most of us need to pay for it. You can check the TV Licensing website for more info.
After paying for your TV Licence, there are no extra costs with Freely.
An aerial (optional)
With Freely, you can top up your channels with an aerial connection. However, this is up to you! All you have to do is plug your TV into the mains, connect to the Wi-Fi, and start watching the best live and on demand shows.
To watch channels via an aerial, you'll need to check your aerial is in good condition and is pointed in the right direction towards a transmitter. While indoor (loft or portable) aerials may pick up Freely, roof aerials tend to get the best results.
