Six people pose on a television studio set in front of a large “UNACCEPTABLE” sign. One person sits at a desk holding a programme card while five others stand behind, framed by blue graphics and warm studio lighting.

If your ideal Sunday night involves sharp one-liners, brilliantly bad takes and comedians arguing over things that really shouldn't be argued about, then Unacceptable is about to earn a spot on your watchlist.

The brand-new comedy panel show launches Sunday 5th July at 9pm, hosted by Off Menu podcast co-host and Taskmaster fave Ed Gamble, and promises brilliantly absurd debates, ridiculous challenges and some of the biggest names in British comedy.

And honestly? It sounds gloriously chaotic.

What is Unacceptable about?

Three panelists seated behind a curved desk on a brightly lit studio set with blue digital-style graphics. One person in a colourful checkered top, one in a textured orange jacket holding a mug, and one in a light-coloured jacket are engaged in conversation.

Hosted by Ed Gamble, Unacceptable sees two teams of comedians battle it out to convince a live studio audience that their most outrageous opinions are actually worth agreeing with.

Leading the teams are comedy powerhouses Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd, Travel Man) and Joanne McNally (My Therapist Ghosted Me, Taskmaster), who are joined each week by a rotating cast of guest comedians.

Their mission? Defend opinions that are niche, questionable, mildly ridiculous and, as the title suggests, completely unacceptable.

Using a live swingometer, the audience decides who's winning the argument, while Ed keeps everyone on their toes with challenges designed to make contestants put their opinions into practice.

Because saying something outrageous is one thing. Backing it up? That's where the fun begins.

Who's on the line-up?

Three panelists seated behind a desk on a television studio set with blue digital-themed screens and neon lighting. One person wears a green headscarf, another a dark blazer, and a third a sparkling blue jacket.

Get ready for a seriouslyyy impressive comedy line-up.

Alongside host Ed Gamble and team captains Richard Ayoade and Joanne McNally, expect appearances from:

  • Maisie Adam (A League of Their Own, Mock the Week)
  • Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen, Taskmaster)
  • Joel Dommett (The Masked Singer UK, I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp)
  • Katherine Ryan (The Duchess, 8 Out of 10 Cats)
  • Tom Davis (King Gary, Murder in Successville)
  • Romesh Ranganathan (The Weakest Link, Rob & Romesh Vs)

And that's only the start.
